Examples of my Pyrography Art

If you have any questions, please either email me at: Leslie@byleslies.com or go though my eBay store.

Here you will find a few examples of my pyrography. Designs are burnt into boxes, containers, spoons and plaques. Some are for just fun, and some are finer works of art.

Items currently for sale can be found at Select Art Gallery, Cayties Country Cottage, or my eBay store.

Some of these could be considered mixed media since color has been added. Mixed media is when one piece of art work has a combination of 2 or more artistic media or mediums, such as colored pencils and woodburning, or ink and pastels, or collages.

Examples of Pyrographed Wooden Boxes
These boxes are not mass produced. They are lovingly made out of Oregon Myrtlewood or Alder by Oregon wood craftsmen, and burned By Leslie S. No two are exactly alike. The sizes vary slightly and the designs all a little different, even if of a similar subject matter. Prices vary according to size and amount of work involved, but typically the 5x5 Alder boxes, and the 3x5 Myrtlewood boxes sell for $15 to $20.
Many boxes have been burned on the top and side (or sides) to make them more interesting. This 3-D effect catches the eye, and extends the viewing field for greater enjoyment. Rarely are boxes looked at directly from the top, so this design takes advantage a greater point of view.
Please note- many of the items shown here have already sold, but they are presented as an example of my work.
